The Raven's Nest Treebarn

At the time there was no access or structures, just a wooded and serene Appalachian knoll called Moss Hill. Our initial thought was to create a tranquil retreat for our friends and family. We wanted something unique but didn’t want to disturb too much land in the process. Hmmm…a treehouse, a yurt, a hobbit house, a mini lodge, a cottage, a barn…? Fortunately, we were blessed to have crossed paths with a talented team of local craftsmen who not only made our vision a reality, they incorporated just about all of our ideas (along with a few of their own) into this highly functional, comfortable and somewhat whimsical home. Today, The Raven’s Nest Treebarn sits more than 20 feet off the ground, nestled amongst the trees directly in the center of Moss Hill. With 12 windows, 2 skylights and 4 decks, you really do become part of the forest. There are nature paths, outdoor games and 8 private wooded acres to explore. The location is both convenient and accessible, it’s literally within minutes of lake and river access, shopping, downtown Blue Ridge & McCaysville, and all of the area’s offerings. This is Southern Appalachia charm that’s truly Living, Elevated…and we are happy to share it with you.
